Summer Solstice Drive and Lunch - Saturday, June 21

Register now to enjoy one of the longest days of the year on a Miata drive from Hastings thru Cannon Falls to Red Wing ! The drive has been greatly revised from last year to include new roads and sights.

We’ll be meeting at Coborn’s Grocery Store parking lot located at 225 33rd.St.W, Hastings, MN 55033. Gas, food and restrooms are available.

After the drivers’ meeting at 9:15, the ride will begin at 9:30 heading South thru Welch (one of our favorite roads, Goodhue CR 7) with well-paved sweeping curves to a rest stop at Speedway Convenience Store in Cannon Falls.

After the break we continue with more gorgeous, curvy roads. Shall we “Mingo” in Wanamingo? Cruising thru the countryside we’ll arrive in Red Wing at approximately 12:30 for an “off-the-menu” lunch at Bierstube Bowl and Grill (they have promised extra staff for great service and the portions are shareable)

Registration runs thru Wednesday, June 18.

When registering, please indicate if you wish to join the Touring Group (a more relaxed drive)
It will also be the first group in the drive. The Touring Group will be driving a slightly different route so that the second group leaving does not catch up.

Please indicate If you are NOT staying for lunch so we can advise the restaurant on how many to expect.

Enjoy a leisure drive that originates in Carver and ends in west Shakopee with miles of curves, lakes and beautiful sites in between.

We’ll be meeting at the Carver Transit Station located at 1607 Hartwell Drive, Carver, MN. Gas, food and restrooms are available 2 blocks north at the Kwik Trip Station.

After a driver’s meeting at 9:15, the ride will begin leaving Carver at 9:30 and heading south through Carver taking in the beautiful river bottoms before following it south. We’ll continue south following the Minnesota River south towards Le Sueur and on to St Peter for our morning break at Kwik Trip.

After the break we’ll head east winding through the beautiful lakes and tree lined curves as we make our way back toward Shakopee where we’ll end our drive on the west side of Shakopee at the Shakopee Bowl for lunch. Lunch will be on your own, ordering off the menu at the Bowl. Feel free to stay and try your skill at many of the arcade games or a game of bowling.

Registration runs through Wednesday, July 10. When registering, please indicate if you will not be staying for lunch so we can let the restaurant know how many to expect.

Please note, this drive has no aggressive curves, there will not be a separate Touring group.

Vino in the Valley Drive is soon approaching.

Enjoy the winding roads of western Wisconsin on our way to a wonderful buffet at
Vino in the Valley.
Saturday July 26th at 8:45
Arrive by 8:30am.
After a driver’s meeting at 8:45 we   will leave our starting point of Coburns Grocery store  at 9:00am
And wind our way through Welch and southwestern Red Wing.
After crossing the Red Wing bridge over the Mississippi,
we will take the club‘s favorite road, County Road “O”,
and work our way through Ellsworth, then County Road “A” back to Wisconsin 35.
More windy roads and we will arrive at Vino in the Valley at noon.
Sign up for a great drive and a great buffet lunch.
The price you are paying of $29.50 per person includes Wisconsin sales tax and tip. All beverages are extra. See you soon!
