Enjoy one of the longest days of the year on a Miata drive from Cannon Falls to Red Wing!
We’ll be meeting at the Speedway Convenience Store located at 1103 4th St. S, Cannon Falls, where gas, food and restrooms are available. There is a McDonald’s across the street for food and restrooms.
After a driver’s meeting at 9:15, the ride will begin leaving Cannon Falls at 9:30 and heading south through Goodhue County taking in beautiful tree lined hills and sweeping curves on the roads leading out of town. You’ll be thinking “When was the last time I was asked to mingo?” as we pass through the town of Wanamingo, and continue to meander our way through the scenic countryside. We’ll pass by Minnesota’s historic Zumbrota Covered Bridge as we come into town and have our morning break in Zumbrota.
After the break we’ll head south through some tighter turns on our way to Lake City, which will lead us to more sweeping curves with beautiful countryside as we make our way to our lunch at the Red Wing Golf Course, where the ride will end around 1pm. Lunch will be on your own ordering off the menu at the golf course’s Nineteen Bar and Grill.
Registration runs through Wednesday, June 19. When registering, please indicate if you will not be staying for lunch so we can let the restaurant know how many to expect.
