The Miata Club of Minnesota was started in 1990 and we have on average about 120 Miatas in the club. The club’s primary goal is the enjoyment of the Miata where we will get together and explore different roads and places, then sit down at a favorite restaurant with our Miata friends. We have two drives a month, a Saturday and Sunday drive. We have three overnight events each year, our Spring and Fall Rallies, and an Up North Drive to do leaf peeping. These overnight events consist of 30 to 40+ cars taking a longer distance drive to some great destinations. The Spring and Fall Rallies are Friday to Sunday events with the Up North Drive being a Saturday to Sunday event.
Some of our destinations have been Wisconsin Dells, Hayward, Prairie Du Chien, LaCrosse and The Minnesota Scenic Byway just to name a few. The trips are always fun, interesting, and a great time with friends.
We have two meetings a year. The meeting in October deals with the club business such as elections, club dues, suggestions for activities and previewing the new Miata to come on the market. Our April meeting has been a Clean Up event where we get our cars ready for the upcoming driving season.
Anyone that enjoys driving, making new friends, and just likes to have a lot of fun is welcome to join. Check our calendar and come out to one of our Saturday or Sunday events to see what we are all about.
