Join hosts Marc & Marlene Faubert and Sue & Larry Jordan for a 140-mile, rollicking roller coaster ride up and down the bluffs and coulees of Wisconsin.
Date and Time: Saturday, September 26, 2026 rain or shine, Arrive by 8:30am.
The Start: Target Store, 151 Tyler Rd N, Red Wing, MN. See the Google Map link below. Drivers' Meeting will be at 8:40am and the lead group will depart at 9:00am.
The Ride: Due to a number of Pierce and Pepin county roads recently getting chip sealed this route is different than the last two years with a number of new roads added. You’re still guaranteed to experience more twists and turns and elevation changes that will leave you grinning for days afterward – and we’re not bluffing. Starting in Red Wing, MN we’ll head across the river to Hwy 35 the first small set of twisties to get warmed up. There will a rest break halfway through the drive in Plum City, WI. From there we’ll continue in coulee country where we’ll twist and shout all the way to The Nelson Stone Barn where the drive will conclude.
The Lunch: Lunch will be at The Nelson Stone Barn (S685 County Road KK, Nelson, WI). They specialize in serving artisan woodfired pizzas, ice cream, and libations to large groups so we will be ordering off the menu. More info is on their website at www.thenelsonstonebarn.com .
Registration: Registration will close Monday, September 21. There is no fee to register - just pay for your own lunch. Note that a Touring Group is offered for those who would like a more relaxed drive through the technical sections. To help us give an accurate headcount to the restaurant, please indicate if you are not going to be joining us for lunch.
Volunteer to help!: We are currently looking for additional leaders and sweepers. Please contact Marc or Larry if you are interested.
A .gpx file will be available on the Club website a few days before the drive. A note for those of you without a Garmin there are two great apps both Android and Apple phones that reads .gpx files and gives you turn by turn directions and will display on your phone or on ND infotainment screens using Apple Car Play/Android Auto. One is OsmAnd, the other is Calimoto which has less features but is easier to use. Both are available in the Apple App and Google Play stores.
We look forward to you joining us!
