Spring into Fun in the Miami of Minnesota!
Join us in Winona, MN for this year’s Spring Rally being held Friday May 16 – Sunday May 18. Winona has become known as the Miami of Minnesota since it’s determined to be the warmest city in the state and is located in the southeast corner of Minnesota just like Miami is located in the southeast corner of Florida.
What Winona has that Miami doesn’t is some great Miata roads leading through the bluffs of Wisconsin and Minnesota as well as beautiful views of the Mississippi River. We’ll be taking advantage of that with fantastic routes to drive, great food and entertainment, and opportunities for the club to socialize together all weekend!
The Rally will start on Friday at the Holiday Convenience Store located at 12370 Point Douglas Drive South in Hastings. We’ll drive from there to Wisconsin and head south on some great Miata roads on the East side of the Mississippi River as we find our way to the Express Suites Riverport Conference and Event Center in Winona.
Saturday will take us back to Wisconsin where we’ll explore the type of roads we’ve come to love on that side of the river. There will be free time after the drive for those who want to discover more of what Winona has to offer.
The Sunday route back to the Twin Cities will take us North on the Minnesota side of the Mississippi River. Our last stop will be for lunch on your own at the Smokin’ Oak Rotisserie and Grill in Red Wing.
The registration fee is $90.00 per person. This will include:
- Friday lunch at the Riverside Grill in Durand, WI on our way to Winona
- Welcome reception buffet on Friday evening at the Express Suites Riverport Conference and Event Center.
- Buffet dinner on Saturday evening with musical entertainment by the local group Madison Parish Ensemble
Be sure to pack your Miami beach attire to dress for Saturday night’s dinner! (No Speedo’s please!)
There will be a cash bar on Friday and Saturday nights but note the event center can handle cash only at the bar in our reserved space. Credit cards will not be accepted so please plan accordingly! ATMs are available in the hotel and close by around the hotel vicinity if needed.
There is a block of 45 rooms available at the Express Suites Riverport Conference and Event Center for the Rally and will be allocated on a first-come-first served basis. Available rooms in our block include:
11 - Standard King Rooms $129.99 per night
6 - King Mini Suite Rooms w/pull out $149.99 per night
28 - Standard Double Queen Rooms $139.99 per night
*Note room charges shown do not include any applicable taxes or hotel fees.
**Any rooms still showing jet tubs on the hotel website have been recently renovated to include updated showers and no longer have jet tubs available.
***Rates include a free hot breakfast on Saturday and Sunday.

The deadline for hotel registration is Wednesday, April 16. The deadline for the event registration through the club’s website is also Wednesday, April 16. Note that club event cancellations after the April 16 deadline are non-refundable.
